Sinopec remains committed to proactively fulfilling its responsibility, placing public well-being at the heart of its mission, and establishing its signature initiative, the "You're the Most Beautiful", which supports outdoor workers, youth, educators, patients in need, healthy individuals, low-income individuals, and other vulnerable groups, while also promoting environmental protection. Under this framework, Sinopec has launched five innovative public welfare programs centered on rural revitalization, well-being support, growth support, health protection, and green ecology. These initiatives reflect the Company's strong sense of responsibility and commitment to its founding values, turning its commitment to society into practical efforts that continuously improve quality of life for all.
Wellbeing Support Programs
Driver's Home
Harnessing the reach of its energy service station network, Sinopec has made all-out efforts to advance its "Driver's Home" program, continuing to expand service coverage and enhance its support system to meet the urgent needs of workers engaging in new business forms, providing them with a "home on the road". Service quality has steadily improved through the implementation of the “2+7+X” standard: In addition to basic services like refueling and shopping, drivers now have access to seven core services, including parking, rest areas, dining options, drinking water, showers, laundry, and clothes drying, supplemented by additional services such as roadside assistance. Sinopec has also innovated the program's operational model, introducing a series of heartwarming features such as "Diesel (LNG) Refueling and Free Warm Meals" and "Self-Serve Cooking Stations". By the end of 2024, Sinopec had established 4,338 "Driver's Homes" nationwide, offering year-round comfort and convenience for truck drivers. By focusing on their practical needs and continually improving service offerings, Sinopec has helped truck drivers stay safer on the road and enjoy greater peace of mind during their journeys.
Love Station
Leveraging its energy service station network, Sinopec has focused on supporting the needs of outdoor workers, including sanitation workers, food delivery personnel, couriers, taxi drivers, and truck drivers. The Company has actively promoted the high-standard development of "Love Stations", expanding service functions and enhancing service quality to create a 15-minute community life circle that offers a warm haven for millions of workers. By the end of 2024, Sinopec had established 7,056 "Love Stations" across the country, providing 24-hour "7+X" services such as rest areas, drinking water, and electronic device charging. Serving over 20 million people each year, the program has become a widely recognized public welfare brand in cities throughout China.
Gas Stations Offering Oxygen Supply Service
Sinopec has been actively advancing its "Gas Stations Offering Oxygen Supply Service" public welfare program, guided by the principle of "streamlined, practical, and targeted implementation". These stations are operated in a standardized manner, with uniform site selection, signage, and service offerings. To date, over 100 such stations have been established along major routes into Xizang—including the Sichuan–Xizang, Qinghai–Xizang, Yunnan–Xizang, and Xinjiang–Xizang Highways—as well as in other high-altitude regions across Xizang, Qinghai, Yunnan, Xinjiang, and Guizhou. This has laid the foundation for a regional oxygen supply network across the Qinghai– Xizang and Yunnan–Guizhou Plateaus, offering much-needed support to travelers and drivers navigating these challenging environments.
Growth Support Programs
You're the Most Beautiful Junior Development Subsidy Scheme
Supporting youth education in Hong Kong is essential to building a stronger future for Hong Kong. In line with the guiding principles of President Xi Jinping's important speech during his visit to Hong Kong, Sinopec has dedicated itself to improving the educational and developmental conditions of underprivileged youth and fostering the healthy development of children from grassroots-level families. Since its launch in 2021, Sinopec's "You're the Most Beautiful" Junior Development Subsidy Scheme has contributed HKD 4.2 million to assist 290 teenagers and children living in subdivided flats. The scheme provides academic tutoring, STEM activities, and talent development opportunities, as well as mentorship activities led by Sinopec volunteers based in Hong Kong, who participate in both full-day and half-day camps alongside the children.
In October 2024, Sinopec launched the fourth phase of the "You're the Most Beautiful" Junior Development Subsidy Scheme, investing an additional HKD 1.4 million to assist 100 children from grassroots-level families. This phase focused on academic improvement, talent development, and fostering emotional resilience, empowering more children to pursue their dreams.
Micro Hope Plan
Fully leveraging its nationwide network of 28,000 Easy Joy Convenience Stores, Sinopec has launched the "Micro Hope Plan" public welfare program. To date, the program has provided ongoing support to 3 million rural teachers, advancing rural education and promoting common prosperity. In November 2024, the 2024 Easy Joy "Micro Hope Plan" was officially launched in Dongxiang, Gansu. The program has since expanded beyond education revitalization to include industrial revitalization, with new efforts such as the "I Grow Quinoa in Dongxiang" charity adoption campaign. Sinopec has also introduced the "Easy Health—Bringing Health to Schools", a public welfare program that will invest CNY 10 million over five years to establish a comprehensive health management system in 200 rural schools across China, including those supported by Sinopec. Services will include online healthcare access and health education seminars. In addition, Sinopec has launched the "Donating 2,024 Micro Hope Health Kits" campaign, holistically supporting the physical and mental health of rural teachers.
Green Ecology Programs
Internet + Voluntary Tree Planting initiative
Sinopec has intensified its efforts in ecological protection and afforestation through its "Internet + Voluntary Tree Planting" initiative, which introduces innovative models for voluntary tree-planting practices. This initiative promotes harmony between people and nature and reflects the Company's vision of becoming a practitioner, advocate, and leader in ecological conservation and national greening efforts. The "Saihanba Ecological Demonstration Forest" project, China's first large-scale tree-planting project sponsored by a central SOE, has successfully afforested 127 hectares with 254,000 trees planted. The second program under this initiative, "I Plant Trees in the Snowy Plateau", has added another 151.79 hectares of afforested land.
Science education and public charity exhibitions
In November 2024, the China Science and Technology Museum hosted the academician-led lecture "Commemorating Geological Pioneer Li Siguang and Exploring the Mysteries of Geothermal Energy", which introduced the public to Li Siguang's geological theories and the fundamentals of geothermal energy. During the lecture, Academician Guo Xusheng delivered an in-depth presentation on how geothermal energy is harnessed to improve quality of life, interwoven with inspiring stories of Li Siguang's lifelong commitment to advancing science to serve, rejuvenate, and strengthen the Chinese nation, as well as his contributions to China's geological progress. The lecture also underscored the importance of low-carbon development and envisioned a greener future. Two publications were unveiled at the event: Li Siguang's Geological Scientific Thought: The Mark of Geothermal Energy and Exploring Smart Energy: Geothermal—Sinopec's first geothermal-themed educational picture book.
