A group of 18 students and faculty from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore just visited Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Company. They explored the production area and were amazed to find it super safe, green and odorless thanks to the transformation toward green and low-carbon practice. One student said, “I’m thrilled to see China producing everyday goods with clean energy. Everything here is truly impressive!”

Henry Armour, President of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) from the United States, recently led a delegation to Sinopec in Beijing. The delegation visited Sinopec service station in northeast Beijing’s Taiyanggong, exploring diversified experiences in refueling, EV charging and battery swapping services, as well as Easy Joy convenience store in the station. They also learned about Sinopec’s branded non-fuel products, including Dolma Spring Water and Oulu Tissue Paper which are available in the C-Store. They had an experience of traditional Chinese craft, including the paper flower folding, and tasted Chinese pancake. The delegation commended Sinopec service station for its excellent facilities and premium services, with many members saying “Bravo” during the visit.

On March 12, Gordon Lam, our Hong Kong Deputy to National People's Congress , Chief ESG Officer and Chief Supply Chain Officer of Sinopec in Hong Kong, paid a visit to Beijing Language and Culture University, sharing his perspectives on this year’s Two Sessions and insights on national development with students from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong SAR, Macao SAR, and Taiwan, China. 

Gordon introduced Sinopec’s remarkable progress in energy supply and new energy applications in Hong Kong under the national development plan. He added that Sinopec will stay committed to taking a leading role in energy transition and building a green and intelligent future for Hong Kong.
